We are expanding our present development team for several of our own projects and we are looking for a developer to be in charge of a small team of other developers and to develop the special parts of the applications. Our flagship product is the restaurant cash register system called Septim.

About 90% of development takes place in the client server database Sybase SQL Anywhere Studio (ASA) in saved procedures. The rest of the development is performed in Delphi. Even though the whole development process takes place in MS Windows, the result product is transferable and works under Linux OS as well, which we see as ideal for some of the components of the Septim system. We use modern programming techniques and procedures necessary for creating good software. These are especially:

• extreme programming
• teamwork, the project does not depend on a single person
• test-driven development
• generating documentation from the source code
• using bug monitoring tools (bugzilla)
• application of the rule “developers are not support staff”

In the future, we are planning a greater percentage of web applications, which are used now only for viewing data obtained in classical database applications.

• very good knowledge of SQL (necessary learning to use Sybase SQL Anywhere Studio is not a problem)
• very good knowledge of Delphi
• experience with specialties like serial communication, multithread applications, TCP/IP communication, etc.
• developing experience
• experience with teamwork

• knowledge of Kylix or C++
• knowledge of OS Linux (we use Debian)
• knowledge of XML and XSLT
• experience with leading a team of developers
